  • Quelque chose à dire.

You are loved and have intrinsic value! No ifs, ands, or buts, and no one can take that from you! 💕💕💕

I'm a psychology major with a love for learning, other people, and a special interest in the disability community! Always feel free to say hi!

  • J'aime toujours parler de...

I am a very inquisitive individual that loves talking about psychology, disabilities (I'm deaf in one ear!)/disability rights/sign language, anime/manga, and almost anything else! I'm not well-versed in sports, so you may have to educate me there, but I love learning about people and their cultures! Feel free to say hi!

  • Dans 10 ans

I want to be a mental health counselor for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing community! I'm deaf in one ear and looking to learn ASL. My hope is to be certified as an interpreter so that my clients will be able to have the same experience as a hearing person in my office- a one-on-one, confidential session where the counselor is also well-versed in the Deaf culture. ♿

  • Villes et pays visités

I have visited Italy and Greece! I enjoyed my time there, and really wish I could go back to visit! My favorite place to visit out of the two was probably Pompeii. It was incredibly interesting to see all of the ruins and relics.

  • Ce qui m'intéresse dans les autres cultures

I have interest in all other cultures- beliefs, foods (please feel free to send me your favorite recipes, especially any desserts! 😋), history, whatever you feel is interesting or think others should know! I'm an American with an open mind and happy to hear from people that normally get portrayed inaccurately/harmfully in my culture, or anyone at all! I would also LOVE to know how other countries handle disabilities/accessibility, since I haven't heard much about it! I am here to learn and make friends!!!

  • Je suis un(e) expert(e) à...

My best talent is probably playing music! I started very young on piano, then graduated to guitar, trombone, euphonium, fiddle/violin, upright bass, mandolin, and a few other things! My best instrument is probably my guitar, and my favorite genre to play is folk music! I have also had some experience playing hand bells, a tuba, and a trumpet, but I'm not very good at those. 😅

All this is incredibly ironic, given my partial deafness and the fact I play primarily by ear. God definitely has a sense of humor!

  • Vivre à l'étranger pendant un an

If given the chance to live abroad, I would love to go to the UK. It has been a goal of mine to visit at some point, and I would love the opportunity to learn how similar-yet-different our countries are.

If not the UK, I would most enjoy Sweden, Norway, Iceland, or Germany. These countries are all extremely interesting to me and I would love learning about their governments, cultures, and everything else!

However, I'd just love to live a year abroad, honestly. It almost doesn't matter where! 😂

  • Livres/auteurs/films favoris

    My favorite books are:
    - The Secret Garden by Francis Hodgson Burnett
    - Six of Crows/Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo
    - The Harry Potter Series

    My favorite films are:
    - the How to Train Your Dragon trilogy
    - the Lord of the Rings trilogy
    - pretty much any fantasy/sci-fi movies 😂👾

  • Un défi personnel

I'm not sure what the hardest thing I've ever done was (though some of my college professors have given it their best effort to make their classes place on the list), but I'm looking at learning another language (American Sign Language). I've had some exposure/classes, but it's going to be both difficult and exciting to be learning this language more deeply over the next few years!!!
